The Medical iPhone blog has created a
Medical Calculator Throwdown. It shows the differences among the medical calculators now available. I like
MedCalc which has been a staple on Palm and other platforms for years (it was released after the Medical iPhone blog was posted); best of all, it's free. Be sure to check if your choice has the formulas you need. The number of formulas on these titles is mind boggling. Most list their formulas on the App Store.
The competition among these apps has led to frequent updates among these apps; so if the title you are looking at doesn't have the formula you want I would suggest writing the developer. The developers are all very good at addressing user requests. In less than 5 months we've gone from none to at least 5 choices.
